Debuted as a child actress at the age of four. Participated in voice acting and hosting from a young age, including voicing lead roles in the Mandarin-dubbed versions of Kiki’s Delivery Service and Harry Potter. Stepped away from the entertainment industry during junior high school to focus on academics.
Graduated from National ChengchiUniversity with a double major in Radio & Television and Diplomacy. In 2013, returned to acting with the PTS dramaSubstitute For Love, where she voiced over 10 cartoon characters within the show. Her performance earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a Mini-Series at the 48th Golden Bell Awards. In addition to acting, she is also a bilingual host in Mandarin and English.
In 2017, she won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the 53rd Golden Bell Awards and Best Supporting Actress at the 2018 Asian Academy Creative Awards (Singapore) for her role in ROSEKI on Hakka TV.

In 2020, she played a tough female scientist in the action film Eclipse. In 2025, she starred in the PTS film Though Dead Still Alive, portraying a caregiver to a vegetative patient. In 2025, she won Best Leading Actress in a Mini-Series or Television Film at the 60rd Golden Bell Awards. She became the first female host in the 21-year history of the travel program The Story of Taiwan. She has hosted the Golden Bell Awards Red Carpet for three consecutive years, earning acclaim for her eloquence and fluency in both Mandarin and English.
Her stage performances include the play Call Me Lin Cai-Xiang and the musical The Other Woman.

四歲童星出道,出演朱延平導演的《狗蛋大兵》電影系列,參與配音和主持,《魔女宅急便》、《心之谷》、《哈利波特》擔任女主角中文配音員。
「政大廣電系、外交系雙學位」畢業後,2013年接演公視《愛情替聲》,劇中模仿超過10位卡通人物聲音,入圍第48屆金鐘獎迷你劇集女主角獎。除演員身分,也是中英文主持人。
2017年客家電視台《台北歌手》榮獲第53屆電視金鐘獎戲劇節目最佳女配角獎,以及亞洲影藝創意大獎最佳女配角獎。同年推出首張創作專輯《楊美麗的青春娜卡西》。
2019年《天之蕉子》,單純千金轉變為腹黑女的反派角色,生產戲及瀕死的掙扎,被形容為令人毛骨悚然的演技。2020電影《媽,我阿榮啦》,挑戰科學家女打仔角色。2025年公視台語台電視電影《啥人顧性命》,演出植物人照顧者,破尺度的真實表演,細膩詮釋照顧者的悲哀和無助,全劇用黑色喜劇手法呈現,收放令人驚豔。
2020年接下行腳節目《在台灣的故事》,為該節目21年來第一任女主持人。連三年主持金鐘獎戲劇類星光大道,流利的口條加上中英文雙聲道,廣受各界好評。
演出舞台劇《叫我林彩香》、音樂劇《第三者》,飾演年輕貌美卻又充滿心機的心理醫生小三。狂美交響管樂團宮崎駿動畫配樂交響音樂會四度巡迴主持,並於2025年展開第二部曲年度巡迴,全台30場演出幾乎完售,深受好評。
2025年首度擔任客家電視台《像你這道菜》節目製作人,並身兼主持人。
2025年以公視台語台電視電影《啥人顧性命》獲得第60屆金鐘獎迷你劇集最佳女主角獎,並榮獲第20屆義大利影展-米勒西莫國際電影節最佳女演員獎,演技備受國際肯定。
