Duality exists in all things. Light and shadow. Order and chaos. Silence and noise.
What we show to the world, and what lives within. We invite filmmakers to explore the tension, harmony, and coexistence of opposing forces. This contest does not have right or wrong —duality may be internal or external, visible or abstract, simple or complex, human or conceptual.
We encourage stories that reflect contrast, balance, contradiction,

and transformation. Whether expressed through narrative, visual language, sound,

or structure, the essence of duality should be felt—rather than explained.

WHAT DOES DUALITY MEANS TO YOU?

AGE

16 years and above no nationality restrictions.

STATUS

Students, amateur creators, and professional screenwriters are welcome to participate. (Supplementary: individuals or groups)

Originality

Entries must be original works of the author and must not have been published or filmed publicly.

Theme Direction: All works must take "Duality" as the core concept, including but not limited to Binary oppositions: good/evil, fiction/reality, light/dark, tradition/modernity, etc. Dual identities or roles. Multiplicity: events that carry multiple truths or interpretations. Perspective and perception differences: layered meanings revealed through differing viewpoints.
Language: Screenplays in Chinese or English are acceptable (if in Chinese, an English abstract is required).
Length: 25 minutes, including opening and end credits.
Format:
File format: MP4 or MOV
Resolution: 1080p or higher
Aspect ratio: 16:9 (horizontal) or 9:16 (vertical)
Content Restrictions: Submissions must not contain illegal content, violations of privacy, or excessive violence or sexual material.The film must include elements of Taiwan, such as food, culture, or humanistic/social aspects.

Registration Fee: Free
Open for Submission: June 30, 2026 (23:59 Pacific Time).
Submission Deadline: August 15, 2026 (23:59 Pacific Time) (interlaced with the important dates below)
Submission Method: Submit through the official website of the film festival, including the following information:
File format: MP4 or MOV
Resolution: 1080p or higher
Aspect ratio: 16:9 (horizontal) or 9:16 (vertical)

Number of Works: Each participant can submit up to 1 work.
