In 1949, during the civil war between the Chinese Nationalist Party and Communist Party of China , the protagonist Shen Yuan moved to Taiwan with husband. Since then, She has been separated from her mother forever. It was not until 1988 that she received a letter from her hometown in China, and just learned that her mother had passed away long ago, One day, she was dressing up alone at home ,She disguised herself as a daughter and expressed her longing for her mother.

The protagonist Shen Yuan and my mother shares similar backgrounds that they both left home due to the civil war in 1949. They never thought that they would never be able to go back after leaving home..I was aware of my mother's ill-fated homesick ,I therefore made this film to honor my mother !
